Default Why does a system hang?

Dear friends,
My System hangs whenever i do work on it. Especially when i run microsoft Power Point presentation & Virtual CD 7.0. Whenever i press slide show button My shystem will hang and by this i am loosing data in physical Memory. I asked My friends about this problem they said this might be a problem with SDRAM which i am having. Then i tried with another RAM the problem has reduced but still it hangs when i run Virtual Drive 7.0.

I don't know the reason behind his Could any body help me????????

1) Reboot your PC
2) Right click on "My Computer" and click "properties"
3) Click the "performance tab"

Now please note down the performance status there and please type it here....

If the System Resources are below 80 % then you may have to disable few programs that run while your PC starts.

Here is what you do...

1) Click Start > Run and type MSCONFIG
2) Click the STARTUP tab and in the list uncheck the programs that you don't want to run automatically.
