i dont think there is ne way 2 increase bluetooth speed(not ne that i hav heard).smaller file transfers are quiet fast, for larger files use a usb chord or use a mem card reader(both are quiet cheap)

keep the mobile and the transmitter , ie the bluetooth usb in close proximity or even touching , the transfer speeds increase

no thats not true ..
specially keeping the transmitter and receiver "TOUCHING"
its all crap

the speed u get is it. .. ofcourse a lil less distance would make some difference
but thats it ..a nd theres no way to boost the speed unless u have wireless bluetooth antennas and signal converters and boosters and amplifiers n all ...
which is not standart equipment

said very rightly by theraven
distance has negligible effect on speed in case of bluetooth

sorry to go away from the post but just a suggestio

in case of 6600 it is good to buy a mmc card reader rather than a data cable as a card reader is more flexible

well, ensure that there are no devices which interfere wid the connection. also ensure that the transmitter and receiver are away from materials like heavy cloth and stuff. these materials absorb the EM waves and can decrease efficiency. other than this, there aint much you can do to increase the speed.

i agree, buy a card reader, its fast and easy to handle!
