The new yahoo 7 is very slow
and it is not stable
crashes often
and it does not update ur contact details
for eg: if someone come online and goes offline..it does not update your status
i kept it running for a day..when i saw it...all my contacts were online suddenly
i got shocked
coz i have friends in diff timezones..who log in at different times...it was sort of funny
then i log out and sign in back..only 1 contact was online...phew...
the version 6 was better in many ways...
yahoo must have tested before they released this buggy version

I use the Indian version of yahoo messenger.. I have no problems whatsoever. Did you check your registry for errors before installing yahoo? Which version are you using? Try checking your registry and reinstall again.

He must be using BETA version, there were many bugs in that version.
Try to install New FINAL version, all problems will be solved.
And I'll suggest to d/l Standard version of Yahoo! 7 (not indian), cauz Many ppl d/l Indian version becauz of Hindi audibles. But all these Hindi audibles as well many other countries audibles r there in new standard US version.
So d/l US version instead of Indian version, it has many features that Indian version doesnt hv...

I use yahoo messenger 7.0.0.249(US) which is a beta vertion but I use it with out any crashes ar any such bugs you indicated even though it is BETA.
This problem may be particular to you alone.
Also checking for viruses or spywares is good.
If you like to know the exact ststus of buddies use buddyspy.

I also use the BETA ver of Ymssnger 7 Indian edn and runs very smooth without crashes and hitches.. also I feel tht the feel and smoothness is better than ver 6.

I am using Yahoo7 Final version without any problems.

Version 7.0.0.437

It is a lot more stable that the previous final release of YIM 7.
