Yea, Windows XP's "Export Registry" option does not save the comeplete Registry. Only, Windows 98 had this feature to save the complete Registry.
So, for complete Registry backups. a third party tool can be used in XP, and ERUNT is a good one.

Yes, ERUNT is a good registry backup solution.
I use Registry defender for registry backup and restore but that is not a freeware.
But before making a backup it must be an ideal one without having errors.
Use Registry Repair or some other like softwares to do a powerful scan and repair the registry and then defrag it too.This will boost system performance and then make a good backup of registry and get peace in mind.
