I have a 40 GB hard disk in good running condition ( verified ) which has suse linux and win 98.... recently I took it to my friends house and tried to boot from it..... I removed all his HDDs. the screen shows GRUB written on a black screen and the cursor blinking for ever... when I press a key nothing happens altough the num lock and caps lock are working.... I cannot get the linux loader... help me... but the loader shows up in my PC.... looks like SUSE loves my PC...

Buddy!
It'll always give many errors like that if u use ur HDD on other comp.
Cauz the hardware configuration will be different from comp to comp.
Ur friend comp may hv different h/w and ur comp hv different.
If u reinstall the OS on his comp using ur HDD, then it'll not give ne problem cauz that time it'll be installed according to his h/w configuration...
