DirextX 9.0c problem

I have winxp sp2 and directx 8.1 but whenever I try to install 9.0c the installation finishes very fast and says all components are installed, but when I check dxdiag it says 8.1 installed. I have tried dx eradicator too and cryptographic srvice is enabled too . I can install dx 9.0b but can't install directx 9.0c . Also on directx website the validation process is unsuccessfull.

u need to have a original XP to get that Validation....

What!!!... r u sure... cant b... as SP2 comes with the DX9.0c with it.... well to b sure... try this...

right click on My Computer.... select properties... make sure its looks like this...

Either you dont have SP2, or u dont have a legit copy of windows, or both. Coz installing sp2 automatically installs DirectX 9.0c

My friend has the same prob 2 he has winxp pro,sp2,256mb ddr ram,80 gb and 2.3Ghz.
whenever we finish installing it writes dat installation successful he has a legal copy of xp adn hes got direct x 9b.
SOOOO,we cant play nfsu2 cuz it desperately neeeds Dx 9c.
