Can't format PEN drive

Got a LG PEN drive that i wanna format from the utility disk but whenever i start to format the machine gets hanged.Tried in different machines.Is their any tricks to format this drives?

If u r familier with linux, u can try using fdisk or mke2fs on your pen drive.

I have transcend 512 MB jetflash, and these commands work fine on it, when it comes to format the drive.
