Default Faulty CD-ROM

My CD-ROM (LG made) can't read or write. The green LED doesn't blink when any CD is inserted. However when I click "eject" through right clicking the CD ROM icon under My Computer, the tray ejects out. Tried but failed to roll back to any previous driver. How to make the ROM functional?

There must be a problem with ur CD-lens. Check it.
Try on others Computer. If the problem persists, then definetly it must be a Drive problem.

wires have no probs cos tray ejects and LED glows. Definitely a lens prob which is cos of life. Goto authorised service centre.

U will have to take it to the service station. Lens costs around 600-700 (not sure). Advicable to get a new one.
