Default OS problem

My OS is giving a message
veryfying DMI pool data....
LI
then the booting stopps.Is there any way to rectify?or i have to format the HDD.

LI in lilo means that loading the second stage is complete. What is missing is the mapping to the next stage. If u can boot from a floppy, do so and then once inside linux, run lilo to refresh the mappings. I am not sure, but try it.

I just re-installed Windows(without formatting) n i was done in 25 min.
