I want to know what redirect server is actually is!
And how can one redirect from "urname.com" to say "geocities.com/urname" ?

A redirect server is a SIP user agent server that generates responses to requests it receives, directing the client to contact an alternate set of URIs.

Mistral Software provides design services for developing redirect servers that can be deployed in service provider environments. These redirect servers are developed using the robust, standards conformant (RFC 3261) MistSIP SIP protocol stack.

A redirect server is a server that accepts a SIP request, maps the address into zero or more new addresses and returns these addresses to the client. It does not initiate its own SIP request nor accept calls.
