Default 512 MB RAM HELP

Hi guys,I want to upgrade my RAM FROM 256 to 512 MB. What is the price of 256 mb ddr ram 400 mhz?Can i get a good piece in range of 1200-1500?

1200 bucks should be enough to buy 256 MB of DDR400 RAM.

Yes your budjet is enough for it.
Please make sure that you buy RAM with same specification as that of earlier one.

BTW, DDR400 does not mean the RAM runs on 400 Mhz. The RAM runs at 200 Mhz, but because its Double Data Rate (DDR) Ram, its called DDR400!

well, at 1200 you may get a 256 mb ddr ram, but i dont think you can get a 400 MHZ with that price.. i would recomend to to go for the hynix ram of Zion. they are slight costly than other RAms in market but their perfomance is best.
