Default HP Image Zone and SP2

I have recently purchased an HP Printer - HP PSC 1410 all in one,
I installed the software and drivers which came with the printer.

But I have encountered a serious problem. Since I have Windows XP with SP2 installed on my computer. Now after installing the HP software, my computer hangs as soon as the desktop starts to load.

I have tried to install patches from the HP website but those does not work.

Please kindly help me. Since its a nightmare for me I cannot live without SP2.

Please , Please help me.

This is a serious problem with HP Image Zone I think and I also think that most of the members who have HP PC's or Printer do have this software and also have been into this problem after installing SP 2.

And hence, I hope members here can throw light on the possible answer to this problem.

I am waiting for the members to answer !

Please help me resolve this issue, since, I disparately need to install SP2 on my computer. After resolving this issue completely, then only I can install SP2 on my computer which make the whole matter urgent to me.

Since the computer hangs at startup, do the following first
Start -> Run -> Msconfig -> Startup Tab
Uncheck all items except:

Alcxmntr
atiptaxx
ati2mdxx
backupnotify
ccapp
ccregvfy
hpsysdrv
kbd
LTMSG
NvCpl
ps2
recguard
VTTimer

C if the problem persist. And also check if u can boot properly in safe mode?
