NSD never starts but Zone alarm starts after noting the error.
Incredimail fails to initiate, Tuneup shredder never works. Anything more particular??
All runtime components are installed.

A few questions...
When was the last time u ran a virus scan / spyware scan ??
What AV and Spyware checkin programs do u use.
When did the error first appear.
Did u install/uninstall any software/hardware just before this error first came up ??

It's got to do with zone alarm pro. Do you have version 6? Contact the ZAP website or their forum.

Ifshlp.sys is not found in xp windows folder.

How to extract Ifshlp.sys from windows cd is not clear as the support link is not dealing with xp.

Thanks for the great link but a bit more help is needed.

Using NIS 2005 antispyware edition (only the AV). Firewall- Zonealarm pro, anti spyware- BPS, Trojan remover.
