Default how to format a pc


i want to format my pc how can i do ?
i have win 98 installed on my pc also formatting the pc will i lose everything tht is stored on my computer/

just insert the win 98 disc or win xp installlation disc and format option is there

If you want format individual drive then you can log in the DOS mode and type as

C:/ format d:

else
you can use the bootable disk and during bootup u can do the same for C: drive

..Yes obiviously you will loose entire data in that formated drive..

I learnt formatting on my school's comp in 5th std.

Type, format C: in the dos command (boot into or restart into)

Yes u will lose almost all data on it (some data recovery software retrieves info)
