RETRIEVE LOST DATA ... HELP

my friend has win98 SE running on his PC ....

some guest came to his house and when he was away frm the PC that guest formatted the E: (this drive contains some critical files)

OS is loaded in c: ....

that guy apparently went to MyComputer .... rt clicked the e: drive and formatted it ..... (thats what my friend told me on fone)

now he badly wants to get back that data .... is it possible to retrieve the data thru any data recovery software ???

plz help !!!
any place where i can recover data in Navi Mumbai area (shops)

well bro....try some recovery softs..like Zero assumption recovery,Easy recovery etc...but since its been formated through out.....so there are 50-50 chances.....so best of luck ...
