Default dial up coonection problem. problem No. 775


since yesterday i have been recieving a peculier problem. I have Pirated Win XP media Center with SP 2 installed.
whneever i try to connect to net using my dial up connection i get a message error 775. the remote computer cannot connect your call.

but on the same PC from the same phone line, i can connect to the net using Windows 98. (thats how im posting this message.)

i have also tried making a new Dial up connection. but of no use. plz suggest.

i must confess i had tampered some settings in services.msc but now i dont remeber what all changes i had done.

Try reinstalling your modem drivers and creating a new dial-up connection.

Let me know if it works.

@hack expert: mwaahahaha...now this is called a supra-active community watching over each others shoulder.

By the way, the guy wasn't *discussing* piracy but was just asking for help with his dial-up connection. Don't jump in just coz a post contains the word "piracy". No hard feelings.
