How to convert image into text

I have some images having text content.
Is there a way to convert them to editable text.

My scanner has some OCR thing which can convert scaned documents into editable text.

Not knowing this I scaned them to images.I don't have those papers now.

Is there any program to convert images to editable text?

1. Get registered to this web page of National Library of Medicine, USA and submit ur file.

2. or take print of ur image file and scan again in word document format.

you can use ABBYY Fine Reader 6.0 or 7.0 this helps you in getting the text in editable format
