if your pc has gone slow. dowload the following trial-ware. they r safe.
Tune-Up Utilities
DriverHeaven TuneXP 1.5
and use them to clear your pc junk files, invalid registry keys, compacting your registry, and run their system optimizers and page/boot file defraggers. make sure u open the help file of tunexp when using it.
both avlbl at www.download.com

lastly defrag ur disks.

also reduce your start-ups. u may not be using all-all the time. and they end up slowing down ur pc.

addtitionally, if u r comfortable :
click http://www.thinkdigit.com/forum/view...845&highlight=
also disable uneccessary services http://www.thinkdigit.com/forum/view...415&highlight=

this may also help http://mywebpages.comcast.net/SupportCD/OptimizeXP.html
