Virtual Dub File Too LArge

I tried to cut a song sequence from a movie and save it as..AVI...
The file ended up being 3.09 GB and the song ws 2:33 s...
Also the song wen i played it played [/i]ruk ruk ke[/i](Jerky movements..)
Dunno whats the problem
i have nevcer usend Virtual Dub before and read theravens article and tried it..

You may not have specified the codecs to be used for audio and video compression.
Using MP3 for audio compression and DivX for video compression will give you better results.

if you got this problem after reading theraven's post then you should have posted it in that thread itself.
it makes more sense

anyways .. now that i know that you've messed up the choosing of video codec part. .. you may look up at these tutorials for VDub
