Default Creative inspire 4.1

I am having a strange problem with my inspire 4.1 , the problem is that only 2 speakers work while connecting rear and front cables into my sound card but when i take out the rear cable out of the subwoofer 4 speakers work , i don't know how it is happening. The four speakers work simultaneously and hence the speakers for discrete channel does'nt work. The real problem is that i don't want to use my 4 speakers that way(by connecting front cable ony) but by using the front and rear cables both, because that denies from enjoying surround sound in Dvd playback. Please somebody tell me how can i fix this strange problem.

Default

ur wires are loose
just get ur speakers checked
happens with my ancient creative fps 1000 too ..
or just play ard with ur cables. .. and the volume knob since the connections go thru that ...
something is loose somewhere .. so mess ard .. even in the subwoofer settings .. and check if it comes on sometimes
