Default Firmware problem

I have LG Combo Drive(GCC-4521B107(ew)).
I download firmware from the LG site and start installation.
But during the installation power lost.
After that i restart my pc but it dosen't start.
So I remove Combo Drive and restart and it starts.
Now whenever i connect Combo Drive than i cant start my pc.i hav to remove it.
So i think firmware may be damage.
Can i recover it Or I have to buy another Drive.

No way thats gonna work. System Restore can only restore registry and settings.
Give the drive for servicing and hope for the best.
