Hi,
Are you using the Pro version or Free one? Right-clicn on ZoneAlarm icon in System Tray, and check whether "Internet lock is engaed" or not, if it's engaed, click on it to disengage the lock. Also, make sure that "Stop all Internet activity" is unchecked.
If this doesnt solve your problem, right-click on ZA icon in SystemTray, and click "Restore ZoneAlarm Control Centre". Here click the "Overview" tab, and click "Reset to default" button, which will be present at the bottom of the ZA Control Center.
