Default How to Format and do Partition for a PC


Can anybody tell me How to format a PC?

Also To do Partition?

I have 80gb hdd and windows 98 installed on my pc.

i want to install both 98 and xp so can anybody tell me how to do partition ?

Pls tell me in a step by step process.

well there are plenty of ways around. if u dont have a single partition on your machine, then ull have to use a program such as partition magic to create the partitions. else the second way around is that ull have to reformat ur hdd, and create the partitions from scratch, but u lose ur win98 settings and files, but u can always keep a backup. once formatted, u create the partitons, and then can install both xp and 98. tell me which method u prefer, and i'll help u out. pm me.

google and download a software for partitioning hard drives.

Partition Magic is one but its not free, u can get the trial version though.

when u have partitioned the drive, leave the partition on which 98 is intact(most probably drive C: ).
boot from the xp CD and install it on the other partition(in which 98 is not there neither any imp. files etc).

u now have both 98 & XP.
