Default Poor quality in images


Hi,
My PC is:
AMD 64 3000+
MSI K8N NEO 4 PLATINUM
LEADTEK PX 6600 GT TDH EXTREME
2 * 512 MB RAM (HYNIX)
WINDOWS XP MEDIA CENTRE EDITION

My problem is that i am not getting good clarity in pictures
(as seen in the image...look at the walls in the image)..in movies and games..

in the case of movies they have good clarity in my old P3 450 MHZ PC when comaped to my new PC...Please help me to solve my problem

I am not able to see any artifacts. I can se some block artifacts to the right but that could be jpg. Try increasing your bit depth to 32bits, if it's not already. It could be the game settings that ought to be tweaked. Or try going to the display properties of your nvidia card and select "High quality" to switch off any optimization tweaks in ur driver.

C'mon u have a newer hardware that the game can actually support .... Can u expect ProjectIGI(for example) to look better on a 6600GT than a FX5700 ?? ... Try updating the game with latest patches ....

Also try some newer games like doom3 or Far Cry and u'll know .....

Also try forcing 4x aa and 16x af from the nvidia control panel and see if the picture quality increases ....
