Everytime my thread is being lockes..See I don't wanna advertsie here i just wanna ask that many Digit forum users have their own site..So what do they do to publice their site
Now I think u got the meaning of my thread..So plz. do reply

whats so difficult to understand about traffic?
if you dont have good content then nobody will come to your website even if you 'publice' a lot.

usually many of the site developers get new hits from search engine such as google but in your site it directly asks for registration or login so there`s no possible way a search engine can crawl inner pages .

posting a site URL like this in forums asking for hits may give you hits but the visitors might only be having some sympathy thing in his mind i.e he never returns to your site !

You make them register by giving them content and resources , don`t force them to register ! lol no one will come then .

@aadil - once your post was locked i think you didn`t get it properly , what the mod meant to say is no posting of personal website or blog`s URL for advertising

Tip: Think something new, Dont keep starting blogs, forums on the same subject Technology and Computers.

See Geek_Rohit started his forums on Sports and his forums are crafted well...so hes getting good number of visitors....

Other methods are post links on other forums (dont spam), submit to www.forumrating.com , Submit to search engines, Use the Apache Rewrite Mod for better search engine indexing....It really works cos generally search engines dont index phpbb forums....how many pages of thinkdigit forums are actually indexed on google ???

So mod_rewrite change dynamic php pages to static html and it really help....

Allow guest posts until you get good members.

Also i have seen ur IPB forums. I was surprised to see the Register Message on the main page. Meanse even to read the posts i will have to register....Whats that....how will search engines index ur pages.....I dont think Google Bot is free enough to register on every website he wanna index.....lol

Hey Batty i tried searching web for PHPBB Sitemap generator for google but i havent found some good hack for that...

plz suggest something if u know....

@prabhatmohit - Use search engine optimisation techniques like search if theres a mod_rewrite Mod for IPB....html pages are easy to index by search engines and mod_rewrite convert long php urls like http://www.thinkdigit.com/forum/view...asc&highlight= to simply http://www.thinkdigit.com/forum/viewtopic-249-123.html or something....

Also there are some other mods for assigning meta tags like desciption and keyword tags. They just extract keywords from post content and insert them into tages....

Check if there something like that for IPB....

yeah prabhat i have found 2-3 such mods for phpbb....i am using one on my website and have submitted it to google....

I will see the google reports and tell u if it works fine...

But for IPB u have to search..
