Need COMBO DRIVE

Hi,
Suggest a combo drive other than Liteon and Sony.

I am from Kerala Liteon is not available in my state

My local dealer said that he is getting so many complaints abt SONY(My friends too).My dealer told me to take LG

Wat abt ASUS and LG

dont want SAMSUNGGGGGGGGGGGGG

I've been using liteon and sony for some time now.No probs here. But anyway u cud go for the LG brand, its quite popular and has less probs.

SAMSUNG just tell them to shove it in the trash can.

Samsung-Tray probs
LG-probs
Liteon-choosy but my dvd rom is not that bad(though it doesn't read a particular digit or osmething dvd or something)
sony dvd rom is something like liteon

try this :
cd-rw
dvd

dvd-rw
combo

if you have dvd rom/cd-rw already then consider combo from sony(orignal)-if it is fine,if u have another dvd rom then try liteon corrrier,how is benq,cd-rw with them dangerous can sploil cd if cd not handled carefully as due to outer surface of uwards of cd-rw

I know its a bit too late to reply to this ... but JUST in case.. u havent yet bought a combo..I wud recommend u to buy Gigabyte GO-B5232A(i have the same model).
I am tellin u this coz u dont have Lite-on in ur state(Lite on is the no1 when it comes to performance).
But Gigabyte is just a bit behind(then comes LG).
for eg. Lite on takes 2min 30sec to write 700MB disc
Gigabyte writes the same in 2 min 40sec.
My pals ownin samsung writers write the same in 3 min 30 sec atleast.(LG i dont have mcuh info abt its writin).
I hope this helps(and i m not too late).

using lite-on not a single problem to face.LG and samsung have tray problems.sony does not supports dvds from all the regions.
it will be better 4 u if u go after individual drives:a dvd rom and a cd rewriter.
dvd rom:benq
cd rewriter:asus

Dont go for sony.Its lense is quite weak.Thebest choice u have is ASUS or LG.If u are goinf for cd writer nd dvd rom combo then go for BEN Q DVD rom nd ASUS/LG writer
