Default BUDGET for a SYSTEM

Sorry but, i thought of asking this in Bazzar Section , but since it is closed down, i am posting here in QnA

My friend is in proposal to buy a decent system ( for home use only though)

Upon investigation, he got these two types of models interesting. I prefered him model 2 as model 1 is useless, but i dont know the real prices of these parts. So, would anyone please help me in finding these prices. Is the prices in Model 2 ok? or is it more? .. is there any alternate config that can be got for 30k?

Please anyone reading this pass your view in the cost as i am in need urgently. I wana know the true price for any said below product. ths in advance

And also, i would prefer him to buy a CD-DVD combo writer, if so can i know the cost difference that may arise.

Why intel? If u don't have any technical reason as a retort to that question, then u have to move forward to 64 bit AMD processing.

AMD 64 3000+ (around 7.2K)
MSI RS 480 (around 5K)
2*512MB ddr400 (around 4K)
80GB SATA (Rs2700)

You can keep the rest of the components. This config is a few hundreds cheaper but much more powerful.

DVD writers are around 4000 now. Should be much cheaper since in the US they go for $50 for the NEC and LG 16x. And write cd's @ 40x too. 500VA UPS would be straining the new systems. Since if you use a 400watt power supply, that alone is already over the 350watt/500VA UPS capability... The monitor also takes 100-140watts...

Get the AMD with 1 gig of ram. It will beat the pants off the Intel P4 and cost less.

Model 2 is definitely better.
Price is right assuming the RAM is DDR400, HDD is SATA.
