Default What is Lynx?


Can anyone tell me what is Lynx? Is it a kind of browser or an OS?

It is a text based (so no images) browser for unix / dos. It works well for sites like google, which are simple in nature, but it doesn't support frames. For more complex sites one can use links. It supports frames, mouse input, and can use X Windows to provide a graphical browser.
