Default Two Domain Names One IP

hi friends,

we have a web site with a domain name aptribes.com, recently we have registered another domain name aptribes.gov.in, as part of the govt. policy, our hosting provider is pioneeronline.net. Now how can we use this new domain name (aptribes.gov.in). We have registered aptribes.com with domainpeople and the new aptribes.gov.in with registry.gov.in

thanks

Just register the new domain name to your old ip! It is very much possible for 2 domain names to point to one IP.

yea.. its no big deal.. u just have to set the nameservers of both domains to be the same.. some hosts may not allow u to host more than one domain, but they'll do it for a cost.. else, if u simply want one domain to redirect to the other-"original" domain, u can simply redirect from the cp of ur "second" domain..

i thint apart from you pointing the nameserver of the gov.in domain, you'll have to inform your web hosting provider and ask them to set it up so that a request for aptribes.gov.in which points to their nameserver will go to the same directory as the aponline.com.

They will have to add a DNS entry
