Default Mic not work in 5.1 mode


When i enable 5.1 channel mode in sound properties, the mic doesn't work.
WHen i choose speaker configuration in sound properties ,the mic works.
I have 2.1 channel speakers so kindly help me out.I want 5.1 setting in sound properties and my mic should work.

In some boards, they provide only 3 sockets instead of 5 required for 5.1 Audio. So when u select 5.1, the mic and the line in is converted into rear, center, LFE, ect... So mic does not work in 5.1 channel mode. If u really need the mic, get an old soundcard. So you will have 2 soundcards one for playback, one for mic! Just like i have done it!
