Default help me set up a gaming rig


i already have all the comp. peripherals, i just need a good workhorse. so could any of you please suggest a good config. using probably the amd athlon 64 fx 55/57 processor. i was looking at a budget of around rs. 15000.
i thoght of the motherboard gigabyte k8nxp-sli nforce 4 since it comes with a lot of goodies. could someone please tell me the price ex-mumbai and if possible a good config.? thanx a lot in advance.

From what I've heard, the FX series cost >50K, so forget about a FX based system at 15K.

AMD 64 3000+ (around 7.2K)
MSI RS 480 (around 5K)
2*256MB ddr400 (around 2.5K)

u mean 15,000/- or 1,50,000/- ??? the former will take u nowhere while the latter will just be MIND BLOWING.

for 15,000/- what siri has suggested is the best u can get.

sure ... u can play solitaire, free cell ... PIN BALL ... etc etc.
what kinda gaming rig ?
what kinda games are u looking to play ?
at what quality settings which would be acceptable ?
ur budget has to suit ur need and vice versa
