Hey i need to buy a new sata hdd
what should i go for sata NCQ or the samsumg one

what is the chipset that u plan to use the drive on. Does it support NCQ? If yes wait for the new 7200.9 drives about to hit the market. These are SATA 2 so will give a great boost to the throughput.

if u ask company.. go for Seagate
if tech.. u can wait for SATA 2

Hitachi 500GB monster will do for you. It is Sata2 but backward compatible.
