Default dual layer dvd


i bought dual layer dvd for Rs 30/-. i want to burn 7+gb of data in it(not videos). does it take more than 1:30hr to burn? even when i burned normal dvd it took 1hr. is it the problem of nero?or my dvd writer?

Try burning a DVD with Imgburn or Infra Recorder (both free). If it still takes an hour, then its an RW problem.

i think there is a problem with your system. At what speed do you burn the dvds. Is your burner very old. Check your DMA settings.

no.... mine is new LG DVD super multi 20x dvd ram. the CD burns at 4x speed.
the data which i burn is highly compressed....

Erm... try burning a DVD at 8x speed and let us know. Even at 4x, 1 hour to burn is a little too high.

The problem seem to be with your writable media. I think it may not allow burning at higher speeds
