Default Playback Problem on my Home Theater

Hi I have a movie file on my PC with the following specs:

*** VIDEO INFO ***
Input Type : XVID(GVC)
Input Size : 640 x 320
Output Type : YUY2
Output Size : 640 x 320
FrameRate(Frame/sec) : 0.00 (29.97)

*** AUDIO INFO ***
SampleRate(Sample/sec) : 44100
BitRate(Bit/sample) : 16
Channels : 2
KBitRate(KBit/sec) : 96

It is a 699 MB file with .avi extension.I burned this movie file onto a 700 MB CD(as data cd using Nero) for playing it on my Sony Home Theater. When I try to play it the movie plays, then stops abruptly after 9 seconds.I also tried burning it with Windows,in case Nero had goofed up,but that too didn't work.
I tried fast forwarding the movie in the player as well, but movie stopped after 9 seconds.
The movie plays fully on my PC though.
Please help out on this. Thanks in advance.

Not really. I have burned several movies as Data CD to a CD and am able to play the movie on the home theater.

The movies that I mentioned in my earlier post were DivX only. If the problem was with the format then I doubt the player could have played the first 9 seconds.

Maybe DVD burner is at fault. Burn on some other DVD RW and report.

I don't know; I have written several movies to CDs before and quite a few after this one. Perhaps the movie file itself is corrupted. Thanks for the replies anyhow!
