How can i convert my photos to a movie slide show

would prefer some freeware but paid can be used

I am not sure but I think Windows Movie Maker comes integrated with XP.

What do you mean by movie slideshow ? To run in VCD ? To make a computer slideshow you have at least 100 softwares. The best, I have used is Smoothshow. Free: Irfanview, LPJ slideshow (http://hjem.get2net.dk/lpj/) are very good.

To run as VCD, try Nero and any CD burning softwares. Some have limitation on number of jpegs

Windows Movie Maker allows you to add titles, special effects, background sounds, narration etc and alows you to burn it onto the CD...
