Default Running temp of 8600GT ...??

Hello,
My friend has a zebronics 8600GT which runs at 70 at idle and reaches 105 while playing cod4.When the PC is turned on the fan dont move at all .. but as the temp rises it starts spinning but quite sluggishly ...is it supposed to do that as compared to CPU fans which whizzes away..??

The problem is FIFA 09 used to run pretty smoothly sometime back.... now also it does ...but after playing for few minutes the screen stutters a bit.

What can be the problem ?

PS:Removed the card and cleaned it..not much dust on it either.

The ball bearings of the fan appear to have worn off. I think 8600GT should have the relatively small fan which can be bought for Rs. 30-50 at any tech shop. Replace it and make sure that the thermal paste used to link the fan to the card is not a bad quality one. If unsure, then get a Cooler Master thermal paste tube for Rs. 150. It will make a difference to the temperatures too.
