Unhappy Problem with utorrent......plz help

In utorrent my upload speed is more than download speed.

When I try to limit the upload speed from Right Click on Torrent>Bandwidth Allocation>Set Upload Limit>(to some speed) my download speed decreases.

When I revert it to unlimited the download speed becomes normal.

What should I do to get more download speed than upload speed???

You can't change your download speed as it is set by your service provider(the tech that they have... not much imo).

Also, if i'm not wrong upload speed =4*download speed. (can someone confirm that?)

ADSL lines have different upload and download speeds. Generally upload speeds are less than download speeds. Because people do not require uploading speeds. Its only required by servers and all. So I am not sure about the 4xdownload speed. Do a speed test from any of the websites and you would find that the upload speed is way less than the download speed!

you could try azureus vuze which as a scheduler which works automatically and works like a charm for me. its a little heavy on the resources though.

and no, upload speed and download speed of your isp has nothing to do with your torrent clients (of course the max speed is limited).

some trackers recognize the share ratio intermittently and block peers, I suppose.
It doesn't happen with all torrents.

best.

Does this happen for any torrent that you add? or is it a problem with some specific torrents?

It also depends on the file you are downloading.
If you are using BSNL you can have a look at the following url for router configuration

This really helps
