Default help needed - creating recovery discs/partitions


hey i need help in creating a recovery cd or partition for my laptop..My original harddisk has this recovery function enabled at the time of boot, now i am installing a new os (winxp) in a new 40gb hard disk.so i just want to create a recovery partition + recovery cd's for all my installed pgm + the OS..I need this recovery to run automatically at the press of a buton..

i know i have seen this in digit forum, but unable to find it...pls help, SOMEONE ??

dear chaco, I dont want to create partitions, I'm well aware of it.

All I want is to create a recovery cd and recovery partition on my hdd so that i'll be able to keep the cd's away in a safer place as i am always traveling, in transit if i need recovery i will recover my pc from my hdd partition.

someone help me.........
