How to setup connecting wireless speed

Hi,
i m using bsnl broadband,when i connect though cable its giving connecting speed 100Mbps,but if i connect it with wireless its giving speed of 54Mbps.So please tell me do i need to change the settings of wifi or just leave it because i think its a connecting speed of wifi modem.

please suggest if need to change how can i change speed setup.

100Mbps is ur LAN card speed and 54Mbps is ur wireless card speed (IT is not the WAN speed) so every thing is ok and also make ur wireless connection secure

54Mbps is a popular standard speed for wireless connections, just as 10, 100 or 1000Mbps are standard speeds for a wired network.

Even 54Mbps is much faster than your BSNL connection and therefore does not degrade your internet speed in any way.
