codec needed

hi people,

i have a movie file that does not play on any player VLC/WMP/K-Lite/KMP yet it has the extention .wmv K-Lite gives the below error message.

any sugessions??

As per the log, the file is encoded with WVC1 codec. When you try to play the file in WMP, does it prompt you to download the codec automatically? If so download and try it. You could also try Mplayer for windows.
I got the following link from another forum to install the WVC1 codec. Simply extract the .cab file, right click on the wvc1dmo.inf file, and click on install. See if it works.
