Suggest Upgrading RAM ?

I recently purchased Compaq Core2Duo (CQ40)laptop with 2 GB Ram. I want to upgrade ram to 4 GB , plz advice would it give noticeable speed difference.

well, if the OS u are using is 32bit, then i will recognise jus 3GB of System RAM inspite u u installing 4GB or above..

to get full performance of ur 4GB RAM, install 64bit os, be it even XP or Vista..
