Question avi to dat converter...???


anybody can suggest how can i convert my .avi video files to .dat or something like that...so that i can burn them as vcd.....

if there r any opensource alternative plzzzzz also let me know....

Why do you need to convert them manually? Most burning apps will convert the videos to the VCD format if you select Video CD as the compilation type.

Yes

Nero ($$$$ ware) in Windows

+1. But in that case the file size would increase to some GBs.
Try ConvertxToDVD software. It would keep the file size quite same. Means it won;t increase the size if YOU don't want and would convert them to DVD format.
You can directly burn DVD from the s/w or u can burn as image.
