left pane missing.... plz help

i'm facing this problem from a few days, the left pane in the window is missing ....
i don't know how to get it back...
plz help...

choose folder options -> show common tasks in folders. Click Ok. It should have come back. Peace.

If Windows Explorer folder pane is greyed out then it will work other wise try @ RaghuKL method

To resolve the problem, download folderpane.reg file, and save it to Desktop. Right-click the file and then choose Merge.
