Major Problem Plz help.

Hey guys i am in major problem, from a couple of days, when ever i search for anything in Google or Yahoo search or MSN search, it just shows that so many results were found, but u don't see any results on the page.

Ex: "Results 1 - 20 of about 10,197,000 for Digit. (0.29 seconds)"

but there are no results on the page. & then if i press any of the any of the links there it shows like this "http://www.google.com/search.php#" & the site just freezes, i can't do anything. The problem exists in yahoo & MSN also. I am bugged out.

Then, if i try to login to Gmail or Adsense in google it just shows Page not found.

I tried to access the sites using, IE, Maxthon, Firefox, Netscape & Opera, but i am not able to access it from anywhere.

All my friends can access the sites from their PC, but i am not able to, my brother tried from a cyber-cafe, it worked there, but i can't go to a cyber-cafe all day when i have a net connection.

Plz help.

It's quite possible that ur OS security settings are to be checked.
Maybe u've got some firewall that won't allow certain type of data to come in or go from ur comp.
Even I get strange messages like
U don't have adequate rights to view this webpage for sites like microsoft & a local college webpage.
Enable proxy settings on all browsers if u have an external firewall.

May i know which OS you are using?
any firewall?
any AV?
you should provide all these info when you ask questions regarding your computer.

Sorry i should have said that eariler.

I am using Windows XP SP 2.

& My Firewall is Zone Alarm.

& AV is McAfee Security Centre.

i even added gmail site in ZA's list of trusted sites as it was said in Gmail Help Centre. But all this was working without any problem till last week. All the probs started last week.

1) check ur proxy settings and firewall software
2)try to open the site using some indian proxy servers and then see
3)if u have installed "dot net" then unistall it
4) post a hijack this log here
5) u r receiving timeout errors (possiblity)
"reduce your MTU"
6) tell the os
7) what type of conenction u have ?

well expert here goes.

1. i checked the firewall, there were no problems. I am not using any proxy's.

2. can u tell me where i can find indian proxy servers.

3. do u mean ".Net from MS" or Dot net, which comes with Warez P2P??

4. sorry didn't understand what u meant by that.

5. Well i haven't received any timeout errors still now, but can u tell me how to reduce MTU.

6. I am using Windows XP home edition with SP2 installed. If that is what u wanted to know.

7. I have a 64kbps internet connection from Airtel, it is using ADSL modem.

for once shutdown the fire wall totaly.... then try one search... lets see what happens...

This could be due to Adwares or spywares also, which could be stoping you from making an online search. Run Spyware cleaners , like S&D , Microsoft AntiSpyware, etc. to check this.

Remove all the internet history and temporary files from your system.
Remove files from the temp directory of your computer.

5.MTU...downgrade requires some internet sppeed tweaing utilitites
like www.robus.ws (freeware)
