Typing problem

Hi all,

I have compaq presario 2200 notebook(2201AS).Yesterday I had formatted the OS and loaded with XP SP1.Everything works fine xcept special charcters on key board.For instance { ¬ ! " £ $ % ^ & * ( ) _ +} - these are the charcters that are displayed on the screen when I hold shift and press keys {` 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 - = }.I miss @ and hash.Surprisingly @ is displayed when I hold shift and " (as in normal keyboard).Any help and support appreciated.

This is quite strange. Check ur keyboard on other comps where it all working fine.

Hi,

I have a notebook pc.It is not possible to check the keyboard alone(I think).

i think you can always use external keyboard.

Do this :
Control Panel > Regional and Language Options
Click on Languages Tab
Click on Details
In the Installed Services, click on Add
Select English (United States) and Keyboard Layout United States (International)

Set it default ..
Reboot ..
You are done ..
