Default Unable to hibernate


i have p4 2.8ghz 256mb ram, intel865mobo, 80 gb seagate
os-win xpsp1
i am unable to hibernate my pc
i have 5 gb of free space in winxp drive when i try to enable hibernation from power option i recieve a window power policy manager unable to reserve hibernate file which shows that "process cannot access the file because it is used by another process"

but why do u upgrade to SP2??....

control Panel ->Dispaly

then click screensaver tab -> and power ( located on the bottom right)

Click the hibernation Tab and see if "enable hibernation " is checked.

Thats how you enable hibernate.

Yeah, but when i do that an error message pops up saying - "process cannot access the file because it is used by another process".

problem only start when i try to enable hibernation
message window appear when i enable to hibernation from power option.
please read problem...

hmmm.it seems to be some services problem
enable all the service and then try...if it happens then good and if it doesn't then revert back to the original state
