Default DDR RAM Compatibility


Can I install a 400 Mhz DDR RAM on a motherboard which supports 266 Mhz DDR RAM.

yes but it will run at 266 only

means their will be no performance upgrade due to 400 ram

U can make it run a 333 MHZ, if Ur mobo supports it. Most mobo (which doesnt support DDR 400) supports DDr333. So try it.

intel 845 supports 333 hz memory but only some mobo by okverclocking
