Default Prolem Surfing the Net

Hi People,
I use proxy server to surf the net but the problem is that I can't download anything beyond 1- 1.5 MB.
When try to download such files then suddenly the download stops in between and it says whole file downloaded.
Also I can't watch streaming audio and video.
Some error like "DNS error" appears.
Please tell me whats the solution.

Well dont try proxy then! Check direct internet connection first,
coz proxy server is also a machine which manages thousands of connection. So to prevent system overload the admin may have limit its transfer capacity!

for flushing DNS resolver cache

man... freezer.... u r already in an proxy... AirTel GPRS dont give Static IP... then why do u want to use a proxy... as AirTel GPRS is not fast as the CDMA data connection... & proxy will going to slowdown ur system a lot....

better go without any proxy...

If the customer care doesnt know then who wud know

These customer care blocks are only just for the heck of it...

Freezer Guide for u to cofig ur system...

1st off all the phone setings... now its depends on ur hand set... well try to delet its connection & make anpther or just send a sms request to the airtel service no. to send u an ph config based on ur model....

2nd thing for ur computer.... delet all connection releting AirTel GPRS... deactived the proxy, if possible thenuninstall.... now i hope u r in XP.. though all the windows r almost same to config....
Go to Network Connections & creat a new connection.... next to connect to the internet, then ste up connection manualy, connect useing a dial up modem, ISP name can b AirTel GPRS, phone number to dial is *99***1# (confirm from customer care..)... & user name is ur ph number (in this format 919xxxxxxx) & the leave the password blank...

now connect without ur proxy & get back....

& i realy dont understand why a ISP would requeard a user Proxy....
