Opera 8.01 Build 7642 for Windows without Java - Final Released

Latest Changes:
- Recommended security upgrade for users of Opera 8.0
- User interface: The search field on the View bar should now correctly be "Find in page" for all platforms
- User interface: Added search suggestion using the default search engine at the end of the address field auto-complete dropdown
- User interface: Default start-up mode is "Continue from last time"
- User interface: Corrected behavior of Home and End keys when focus is inside a form field
- User interface: Error messages in the JavaScript console now include the name of the document containing the error
- User interface: Solved issue with misplaced progress bar when page bar disables itself

- Display and standards: Now correctly handling anchors in URLs for PDF files
- Display and standards: Improved SVG support
- Display and standards: SVG without namespaces will now be rendered, but cause an error message to be displayed in the JavaScript console
- Display and standards: Fixed broken parsing of JavaScript URLs and bookmark buttons with escaped characters causing problems with bookmarklets
- Display and standards: Corrected handling of the "object" tag
- Display and standards: Made handling of tables within 'center' tags consistent with other browsers
- Display and standards: Fixed faulty @include and @exclude directive checking in User JavaScript
- Display and standards: Some improvements to Fit to window width (ERA)
- Display and standards: Multiple scripting fixes
- Display and standards: Fixed spatial navigation highlighting issue for bi-directional languages
- Display and standards: Corrected display of Latin-1 characters in bookmark descriptions
- Display and standards: Fixed handling of the altKey event
- Display and standards: Improvements to XMLHttpRequest support, added support for XMLHttpRequest.setRequestHeader
- Display and standards: Corrected handling of the HTTP status code "204 no content" to be in compliance with RFC 2616
- Display and standards: Introduced Browser JavaScript, a JavaScript file that fixes the rendering of certain Web pages and page elements that malfunction in Opera
- Security: Fixed XMLHttpRequest redirect vulnerability reported in Secunia Advisory 15008
- Security: Fixed cross-site scripting vulnerability reported in Secunia Advisory 15411
- Security: Fixed cross-site scripting vulnerability in location header when automatic redirection is disabled. Vulnerability reported in Secunia Advisory 15423
- Security: Fix for variant of window injection vulnerability reported in Secunia Advisory 13253
- Security: Fixed information disclosure weakness causing file path information to be sent when using the GET form method. Security Focus Bugtraq ID #12723
- Security: Improved accuracy of security bar and modified security icon behavior: when a certificate is accepted manually after a warning, the security level of the connection is set to 1
- Security: Fixed issue with wrong referrers being sent to sites in browsing history
- Security: Fixed erroneous display of certificate names containing ampersands
- Security: Solved problem with collapsed address bars for some pop-ups missing indication of security level
- Miscellaneous: Sent e-mail can now be imported
- Miscellaneous: Multiple stability improvements
- Miscellaneous: Fixed update notification to handle a new released installed over an older version
- Miscellaneous: Fixed problems with downloading and installing setups from outside the opera.com domain
- Miscellaneous: Fixed problem using secure NNTP connections
- Windows-specific: Minor Voice-related fixes

Default It is Great.

I think each Opera release give me something new, something I can never live without. Watever be it Opera is the best browser I ever used. And so Opera 8.1 is the earth's best browser now. And it will continue, whether microsoft release IE7 or 8 or 9 or anything or firefox 2 or 3 .....
But saying so is actually agaisnt the article of fanboyism. But my emotions and experiance with other browsers make me say so. View these threads
