Tell me the best freeware proxy application with I can hide my original ip address. I want to do this coz I dont want that my ip got tracked by any hacker. So plz tell.

Try SocksCap. It didn't work on my sys. but my friend had no probs with it. Do give it a try.

But is'nt it illegal to use a PROXY SERVER !!! U cant use a proxy Under any cirucumstances !!!!

Huh? Why is it illegal to use proxy servers? There are countless people out there who are surfing the net using proxy servers like anonymizer.com. And I'm not talking about hackers!

Woho. Cool down buddy. I was just asking whether it's illegal or not. And BTW, 90% of the people here use pirated software or have used it at some point in their lives. If I'm wrong, then shoot me.

That way, half the ppl in India will be behind bars. And regarding proxy servers, that's nothing. There are ppl I know who hack into home PC's as well as protected servers just for fun. When I ask them "aren't u afraid of the law?". They say: "india me humara koi kuch nahi bigaad sakta". So, from that day onwards, I got a pretty good idea of India's cyber law status

Nor Iam listening pirated music

& Not watching the pirated movies

I dont like piracy and such illegal things

Mine intentions to do with proxie is to hide my IP from spamming sites
and hackers.

use ip spoofers they will hide ur ip. just google it.

I want the software that also protect me while downloading. I dont want to surf from these websites coz they only protect my IP while surfing and not when Iam downloading something.

First h@ckers can do nothin If u r using Home pc and a firewall and an effective tr@jan,v1rus solution software!

Second, why do u need software for hiding ip? when the real phun is in the art of hiding ip Manually!

If u use these stupid ip hidin softwares, well may i remind u they r useless, never hide ur real ip(I mean their level of ip hidin is average)!
So even if u use them at some point of time u gonna regret as they r full of popups,annoyin banners!

ANd dont tell that ur are a budding hacker urself!

Well if u really wanna hide ur ipwhile surfin and do some criminal activities then i suggest.....

1. To use firefox!
2. Go to http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html
and select the proxy with highest anonymity according to ur convenience.
3. Go to preference in Firefox... genereal settings...
...Connection Settings....Click on MAnual proxy
and fill it with the proxy u selected on above mentioned site with correspondingg port!
4.After applying all ! try surfin google....
5. if no luck then proxy isnt working try some other proxy then......
